Some Comments:
A great start on 20M:
Will and I had been debating all week whether to start on 20 or 40.
I was only able to work 2 people on 20 during CW Sprint, and during the week,
we not had
much luck on 20 after 0Z. But it just goes to show that big tests like this
one make their
own propogation in some cases. Will started on 20 and worked 184 the first
hour. Will
finally left 20 at 0244 after working 456 Qs.
A noisy Friday night:
80 and 160 (and somewhat 40) were a struggle on Friday night due to high QRN.
Will (with
all of his Caribbean experience) said it was the worst QRN that he had ever
heard down
there even worse than when he had operated IARU from VP5. Come daylight we had
230 Qs
on 80, and only 15 on 160.
A small 10M opening on Saturday :
We get a small opening on 10 during 19Z and 20Z, and we work the PA, FL, and NJ
QSO
parties. Of the 37 Qs, 11 are PA, 8 are FL, and 8 are NJ. Other mults worked
are:
MD, IL, NC, VA, VO1, and CT.
A quiet Saturday night:
We had fun on 80 & 160 on Saturday. At 0445Z, I work AB4RU on 80. We still
need GA
on 160, so I move them. They put me on the Cluster, and the fun begins.
Between 0447Z
and 0709Z, we work 178 Qs on 160.
A good day for 15:
Signals are stronger, and we work more stations on Sunday than Saturday. But
we can't
find any 10M openings on Sunday.
