Comments:
Another absolutely great time! Highlights this time include
being called by KL1V and a KP4. And, had Dave, K6LL, call me
on two bands. I always enjoy listening to his style and signal.
It was a real treat and surprise to get those calls.
Also found 80m a veritable plethora of QSOs for a station of my
means. 10, 15 and 40 a bit dissapointing, but I
need to remember that I run a G5RV up @20' and even then the
ends are folded over trees because my lot is too small for
anything else. Took me a long time to find a spot on 80 to
call CQ. Finally ended up around 3895 and had a blast. I know
I will never rate with the big guns in these contests, but I
participate and submit my scores to let others know a lot of
fun can be had with a very simple set-up. And, is it my
imagination, or are the ops in NAQPs a lot more courteous? 73
I, by virtue of my statement below, have taken part in the
1997 NCJ NORTH AMERICAN QSO PARTY on 01/18/1997
conscientiously applying my most ethical interpretation of the
published rules for this contest.
