Soap Box:
This was my first WPX contest and it seems like a fun one. I called up
the only other real active AA3 call I knew and asked if he was going to
be in the test (AA3B) when he said no I realized that I might be in
for a busy weekend. So I did the smart thing and told the wife I would
just be "dabbling" in the contest not really "in" it.

Whoa boy did I eat that line!

Cndx on all bands seemed only fair at best but I managed to get a few good
runs going on 20 and 80. My Kenwood has a broken DIN jack
on the back so I was manually switching from the transmit to the beverage
antenna on Friday night. I am here to report that an ICE beverage box will
indeed explode if you dump 1500 watts into it! BTW anyone wanna buy a
slightly used ICE beverage transformer?

160 developed nada and 10 was not far behind it. I was told by a fellow
in Macedonia that he was calling me on 15 but I did not hear any EUs on
15 closest was some EA8 guys.

Lunch on Saturday was Kim Chee Jiggae sort of a soup made from kim chee and
pork very tastey and of course on Sunday I dined on my traditional Easter
favorite: Green Eggs and Ham. And for it being a holiday and having a house
full of people on Sunday I am pretty pleased with this part time score.
