WRITEUP:
Overall, this contest was a great "shakedown cruise" for my new antenna.
We expected the antenna to perform poorly during the contest, and it
surprised us. Aside from the normal, a rabbit decided to nest in the
tuning coil! Neither did he know that I was in a contest, and in a few
seconds, my SWR turned my protection circuit on, and I was notified that
the poor thing died! Other than that, no other animals were killed or
harmed in the contest. I look forward to seeing all of the contest
fraternity on the airwaves at FIELD DAY!!!
