A fun contest! First time I've used my new call in a big sideband contest.
"Victor Echo" flows pretty well on SSB. Conditions on 15 were super --
lots of QRM, though. We were using a TS-870; probably should have had an
FT1000MP on that band instead of 40M. Held a frequency on the low end of 15
for quite some time. When rate got too low, went up to about .375 and had
some of the best runs of the contest. 160 was pretty much full of noise on the
second night. The 160 Inverted-L was creating trash on 80, even @ 100W output!

Seened to get better later in the evening. Had some good runs on 40 Sunday
afternoon/evening. Thanks to the HB9 who pointed out some good tx frequencies!

Thanks to all the crew for a superb effort. With only 4 full time ops is its
pretty
hard to keep m/m going! Thanks Dave for again being a super host. Sunday night
the rain started to pour -- went outside and found 1/4" of ice on my truck --
glad
the ice was localized to Dave's high QTH.

I'll be putting both the CW and SSB logs online at
http://www.inetmarket.com/w1ve
in the next few days. If ARRL accepted electronic QSLs for award credit, would
do
that also! (See an example of that for the 1996 VB9DH CQWW SSB at
http://www.inetmarket.com/ve9dh/qsl.htm)

73,

-Gerry
