Not enough interest in a full multi-multi this time. Planned to do multi-2
until the last minute, then decided we didn't want to track band changes per
hour and did want to maximize points and operating time. Just had three
stations running, though much of the contest only two of them had (or
needed) operators. Two operators were here full time, four were half time,
not quite enough time for much sleep.

The only equipment problem was that the 15m stack stopped working Saturday
at 11z because of a bad cable or switch on the tower (or both). Used a TH6
until the problem was bypassed so we could use the top beam around 13z. Only
having one beam at 105' was a problem - we needed a lower one for much of
the day.

Made mental notes to get voice keyers, as we noted after every other SSB
contest in the last several years. Still unmotivated (anyone want to sell a
working K1EA DVK?).

Frustrating that 10m didn't open to Europe, only a few scatter QSOs on
Saturday, nothing on Sunday. Conditions to South America were great though!
Didn't spend enough time working stations in Spanish.

Nice conditions Sunday afternoon to Japan on 15m, and 9M6BG was loud. Hard
to find a spot to squeeze in, even heard stations running above 21.447, too
close to the band edge on USB... What was that weird broadband noise on
15m on Sunday morning (11z)? It was S-9 and covered everything from 21.200
to 21.225 for at least an hour or so.

Already have two e-mail messages from people who felt we were too low on 20m
at times. While we were no lower than 14.150.4, I suspect the OO cards will
arrive in a few days also. It was amazing to hear how loud some European
stations were with 100w, while the next one would be at ESP level with the
same 100w - big differences in antennas!

Nothing special about 40m, conditions about average. Nice signals from
JA1JRK and JH5FXP on 75m before sunrise Sunday. It was painful listening to
the Caribbean stations struggle with QRN on 160. Seemed like everyone there
had some big thunderstorms in their neighborhood!

No big QSO hours - only had three of them with more than 100/hour - but
pretty steady except for the usual slowdown from 08-10z.
