Comments: My motive for working this contest was first to have fun, but
also to provide another Texas station for the non-Texans to work.
Conditions were mediocre at best, but, from my perspective, I think that
activity was up, up, up. I heard several favorable comments from out of
staters about the mobile activity, the majority of which I was unable to
hear. Staying primarily on 20 meters, I managed to log 30 Texas Counties
from my fixed station without S & P-ing, which is better than I've done before.

Henry, when you asked me to be "Armadillo County", I had a few concerns, but
reluctantly agreed. I'm now convinced that we should scratch the Armadillo
thing in the future. It is not fair to the serious county hunters out
there, especially DX. I spent a considerable amount of time clarifying the
fact that Armadillo County was a special multiplier only, and that I am
physically in Brazoria County. I still don't know what I'm going to do
about QSLing, but will definitely have to make up some special cards that
"fess up". I sincerely apologize to the stations who thought they were
working a new county!

Many thanks to Henry, W5HNS, for a repeat performance of single-handedly
orgainizing and promoting the Texas QSO Party! It's getting better every year.

I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations established
for amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the best
of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the Awards Committee.
