My goal was 1200 qso's and a sweep. I guess one out of two is okay.
We might have made the 1200 if I didn't completely screw up the first
two hours with rates in the 50's. I won't bother listing the series of
errors I made...;-) Went to 40 around 23:00 and things got better but
I never got back on target. John (UAI) came over Sunday afternoon and
sniffed out as many as he could find. We could never get anything
substantial going on 20m the whole time. The station seems to be
working pretty well (except for the computer which would occasionally
go from 30WPM to 10WPM and back in the middle of a qso...) Having a
tower and decent antennas makes some things quite a bit more fun. I
just need to tune up the "software" between the headphones as a first
step to improved performance! Since it was my first serious crack at
SS CW and the first operation from the new (June) QTH, I can live with
it.
