80 m. sloper
Finally, some antennas up at this QTH....and a mid-summer contest in
which to test the station! Didn't manage to get the 160 antenna up, but
still managed to snare some mults with the 80 m sloper. Didn't get a
beverage up, which undoubtedly cost some QSOs on the low bands due to
QRN. No SO2R capability here yet.
Pretty much stayed glued to the chair for 24 hours. Fortunately, the
seasonal thunderstorms stayed away from me for the contest period.
Station played well enough to do some running. However, 52% of my QSOs
were S&P. Didn't attempt to move any mults. Managed a few 10-meter
European QSOs Saturday morning. Not much room in a 24-hour contest to
miss band openings.
