The year after my stroke I only managed to operate 16 hours of the
contest. This year I made it for 19 hours. Maybe next year or the year
after I'll make it for the entire 24 hours.
20 started strange in the midwest but turned into a great band part way
through the contest. 15 sounded good but was weird, first time in my 36
years of ham radio that I've worked JA's short path at 9 AM local time.
Also worked several scandinavian stations late in the afternoon while
beaming asia. The noise level was on the high side from 7 MHz and down,
but European DX was easily workable on 40.
Station: IC-775 & AL-800H. Stacked TH-7s at 123 and 93 Ft, 40 meter
lazy V 4 square, 80 meter lazy V 4 square, and 160 meter sloping
verticals 4 square with elevated radials.

Comments: As always great fun. It is like a world wide QSO
party and allow one to say hi to a bunch of old
friends. I always logged the received zone, even
though in some case I questioned the zone I was
given.
I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations for
amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the
best of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the
ARRL Awards Committee.
