Greetings,
Made my first real attempt for a decent score since I arrived from
Alabama--fooled many folks with the "TOM TX" exchange. I've invested
heavily in the station since my arrival. Upgraded to the TS-850 (still need
to do the sidetone mod!), put up a tower with a Force 12 C-3, and separate
half-slopers on 160-40 meters. I have a Butternut HF2V for 80 and 40, but
it's still in the garage waiting to be installed! I rented a house in an
antenna-restricted sub-division--I asked the right questions, just got the
wrong answers. Next time I'll go to the Court House before I sign a 3-year
lease...
I'm hoping to have some problems with my voice-keyer fixed before the phone
portion.
See y'all in 2 weeks (maybe band conditions will be better!).
