SOAPBOX.
Entered this to show some prospective hams DX contesting. I worked
a few guys and then explained what we were doing, looked up their
country, wows and ooohs, work some more, etc. The cryptic contest
exchange was confusing but a special thank you to those of you
who took the time to answer "Where are you located?" for my guests.
Found a non contest station calling CQ high on 10 and started a QSO
only to have an unnamed contester plop down on our frequency and
start his auto CQing without so much as a "Busy?" and then pretended
not to hear us. Gave me a chance to explain QSO etiquette to my
non-hams. Turned on the Web Cluster in the final hour to find some
good ones. Biggest thrill was being called by T33Y. Got to try
out my new ACOM. Awesome!
