first off... WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE GO TO KP2 LAND????????????
How frustrating, that's usually as easy as WWA! :)

In case you're wondering, WL7KY is now KL9A
WHY KL9A??? Why Not! It's the only KL9 in captivity, and it gets through on
cw and is fast on fone. A few people couldn't grasp that KL9 is Alaska...
Alaska is AL, KL, NL, and WL with ANY number.

Missed VE5 and KP2 this time... probably due to lack of on time.
Had to take the SAT on Saturday, and didn't get home until about 45 mins into
the contest. 10 was packed, so I had to go really high, but the rate was
great, well, great for SS. :)
I knew I couldn't beat WA2GO at KL7Y, so I just got on for fun. The first day
was great, but I got pretty bored after a while. This new call is really
cool!
YES I AM IN AK AK AK AK AK :)
I quit pretty early to work some DX on 10m. Boy was it hot! It was open
really early, and didn't quit. Worked 9N1AA on 15m CW also. 10 provided all
kinds of new stuff for me (even with KY). I didn't know Zone 1 was so rare on
10m!
I think everyone I worked said I was a new zone for them. A few even said
last
zone for 5BWAZ! QSL VIA NU4N.
I already have 45 countries with KL9A, and a little over 1100 q's (including
SS)
Worked all states was done in about 3.5 hours. I had every USA mult by then,
with the last being MS. The tough ones were the canadians. I thought I was
going to miss VO1, but VO1MP called me on 15 late on sunday to put that one
away.
It was fun, wish I had bigger antennas, no mountains in the way, no aurora the
second night, a cw filter (The DSP is great in the 570, but without a real
filter, it's tough... guess I better scrounge up the cash for one!)
Maybe CU all from the states in SSB... That would be a nice change in this one
:)
And again, SOMEONE GO TO KP2 FOR SSB!!!
-Chris KL9A (QSL VIA NU4N, but no cards made yet, QRX)
