Comments:

Preliminary report with PROBLEMS noted. I have no idea what my score is until
I enter my paper log into my contest software when I get home. I'm at the
mother-in-law's house in Massena, NY, now.
My intention was to opertate as W0AH/2 from northern New York, Saturday, and
from nearby Quebec on Sunday.
The high winds and low wind chill Saturday prevented me from using the
dipole or V-beam I brought here, but the base loaded 10M whip on the rental car
worked FB. Europe was as easy to work with the whip here as with my KT34-XA
from Colorado!
Made about 400 contacts Saturday from New York and began operation Sunday
morning from nearby Quebec signing VE2/W0AH.
Yikes! About 20% of the stations I called said "worked B4" and continued
to CQ in my face. Another 20% or so said they would try to log contact even
though their software rejected it. Some questioned whether the contest rules
permitted operation from two different sections. Not having a copy of the
rules with me, I don't know for sure.
All this was time consuming and discouraging (plus I thought a submitted
VE2/W0AH contest log would have too many errors because many stations wouldn't
couldn't log contact) so I abandoned a serous contest efort from /VE2 and just
took a Sunday drive through SW Quebec working a lot of stations without logging
most of them.
I know CT would not log a second W0AH contact. Not sure about other
software. Had fun and hope I didn't screw up to many of your logs!
Doug W0AH See you from home for the Stew Perry!
