Great conditions on 10 meters! Good, very patient ops. Thanks!
HIGHLIGHTS: worked VU2JZ on CW for new QRP country. Worked KL7Y and 6D2X on
six bands, but sure was hard to get 6D2X on backscatter!
LOWLIGHTS: High winds dropped my 2 el CC 40M beam down onto the KT34XA a
couple of weeks ago causing some damage to both antennas. Four trips up the
tower on Friday, and I got the 40M antenna about 8' above the KLM, but without
the aluminum braces that hold up the ends of the boom. I discovered after the
contest started that the KLM wasn't loading. Another couple of trips up the
tower Saturday morning and I got it to work OK, but the SWR was 5:1 on 20M.
The phased Hytowers on 80M worked OK on 20.
Couldn't find my Geritol, so only operated 26 hours!
