Comments:

This was the first time in about 6 years that we were home for Thanksgiving
weekend. So, I was planning to put in a full-time effort. I set a lofty goal of
beating K3WW's 9.0 Meg score (pre-UBN) of last year. On my desk was his BRK
file from last year. After the first 9 hours, I was about 100 QSOs ahead. I
took a little break at this point.
To make a long story short, around 0400Z the second night, I started losing
touch with reality, so it was time for another break. Unfortunately, that break
turned out to be 7+ hours. Oh well... After this, I've come to realization that
I will never do a full 48, but in any case, enjoyed the contest.
Other highlights:
Beating the big guns in the pileup for VK6HD on 80m LP at our sunset.
Thanks to K3WW for lending me his yet uninstalled WX0B multi-band NQN filter
after mine was discovered dead on 80 and 160 two days pre-contest.
For the first time in any contest, the XYL actually brought me some food,
instead of just dirty looks.
Lowlights:
The need for sleep
The behavior of K0RF - I called him for a needed zone 4 mult. He ignored me and
CQs again. I call a second time, he acknowledges me and give me a 599 without a
zone. I assumed this ass wouldn't log the QSO, so found another zone 4 later.
Definitely poor sportsmanship!
