Sorry for the delay. Had to leave town right after the contest. (No, not
because of RFI complaints.)

___________

Operating Time: About 40 Hours

Equipment: FT-1000D, AL-82, SB-220

Antennas:

TH-7 at 21 M, 40 M rotatable dipole at 23 M
A3 at 15M, fixed SE (new)
Tower shunt fed on 80 and 160.
RX loops for 80 and 160.
Small city lot.

Comments:

"Interesting" conditions. High absorption on the low bands, but lots of
sunspots kept 10M open. Even on 10, absorbtion was high enough that the very
weak Europeans and JA's just weren't heard here. Score is down just a bit from
last year due to a shortage of multipliers on all bands except 10M. 15 was a
real disappointment. Considering the number of flares just before the contest,
conditions were remarkably good. No complaints here! A new personal record for
both QSO's and mults on 10M. Four hours over 100 on 10M Saturday morning.

In spite of dry weather, line noise wasn't a big problem this time. No RFI
complaints. Yet.

The dual amplifier setup came in handy when the AL-82 blew a fuse during a 10M
run. Switched over to the SB-220 without even losing my run frequency. Got the
AL-82 back on line when things slowed down. The new A3 fixed SE saved a lot of
time.
