Comments:

Part of my motivation to skip CQWW CW this year was to give me the opportunity
and motivation to do SO from W8JI in the ARRL 160M contest. My friend K1ZM has
won this contest the past 3 years & I thought it might be fun to see if I could
knock off the top spot.

The station worked flawlessly. Only problem I had was keeping W6's off my run
frequency when beaming Europe with the 4-square. Saturday morning I logged
more than 40 JA's. Sunday morning was a bust except for one JA. Although the
band seemed better to VK as I logged two VK6's and several east coast VKs.

It was very difficult even with the flexibility of Tom's station to keep my
ears on all directions. This was more true of Friday night than Saturday when
the rate seemed to never go below 100/hour. BTW, I finished the first night
with more than 1000 QSOs. Anyway... sorry to have missed ZS4TX. Bernie I'm
sure I would have heard you if I had put an antenna your direction.

DX Worked:

C5, CM, DL, G, GI, GW, HA, HB9, HI, HK, I, JA, JY, LA, LU, LZ, OH, OK, OM, ON,
P4, PA, PY, S5, SM, SP, SV, T9, UA, UR, V2, VK, VP5, YL, YU, YV, and ZL

All sections worked but NWT, and NL.

First Night Rates
-----------------
UTC Qs total
22Z 119 119 119
23Z 102 102 221
00Z 112 112 333
01Z 106 106 439
02Z 101 101 540
03Z 80 80 620
04Z 80 80 700

The real test will be WW2Y at the end of January. See you then.
