WX was just fine, and no snowfall & no static over the whole weekend.
Beautiful!!
I did not break my record (in'89, 1815Q's 235Mults 1,261,950Pts),
which is (still or used to be ?), I think, JA record.
Better score by 4.1% than last year's.
I could only run from 22Z to 08Z, the same situation as in last year.
The last sunspot cycle was much better.
Other Statistics:
[CW] Wkd All States but VT,DC,SC.
[SSB] No whole W1 states!, no DC & SD.
[Both modes] No VE1,2,8,9, but Yes YT on both modes.
Like W1 and eastern Canada, EU was very far, especially precious Zone14.
Wkd 8Q's on CW and 6Q's on SSB, so missed many mults from the zone.
But better than 5 Q's total in '99 :-)
Wkd only two stations from SAC countries(one OH, one SM).
Compared to last year, double domestic Q's(53Q's on CW,38Q'S on SSB),
even no real sporadic-E, but wish could work more.
Yep, high latitudes has short daylight, so this means short high band
opening. And we are far from both EU and NA.
But anyway I like this contest and enjoyed both modes in one band contest.
Thanks many NA Q's with the precious 51 mults in the US + VE provinces,
instead of just W/VE and several zones.
Nice to say 'Hi' or 'Hello' again to many friends on both CW and SSB for
my last contest in this century.
Cu everyone in the 21st century in many contests so long as the sun shines.
I hope I will continue to be as much active as possible, like I did for
the last two years.
