Hi everyone,
If you haven't already seen them on the AP Sprint website, results of the
last Asia-Pacific Sprint, and the year 2000 Plaques winners are below.
Congratulations to UA0FZ, JA5FDJ, JH5FXP and UA9YE who managed to earn a
plaque each. Good job!
Here is an update on the prizes for all winners:
'99 T-shirts have all been mailed (completed in Feb 2000)
'99 Plaques should be shipping in about 3 weeks (from our sponsor JA CQ Ham
Radio)
'00 T-shirts should be shipping in about 4 weeks
'00 Plaques should be shipping in about 6-8 weeks (from our sponsor JA CQ
Ham Radio)
Note: Plaques for Russia are sent BY HAND COURIER when one is available, or
someone we know is travelling to Moscow from here. The mail system is not
safe, so we have to do it this way.
For each AP Sprint, T-shirt awards will be revised from the next contest in
February and onwards:
A T-shirt for each Asia-Pacific (AP) Sprint will be awarded to:
1. The top three winners in the Asia-Pacific Region.
2. The winner of each continent outside the Asia-Pacific region.
The new prize structure will be updated on the website shortly.

Please remember that all t-shirts and postage for this contest are currently
paid for personally by the five committee members (JE1CKA, JE1JKL, VR2BG,
9V1YC and K4ZW). If your ham radio related company or organization would
like to sponsor the t-shirts for this contest (your logo will go on it of
course!) we would be very happy to hear from you. We would love to
re-activate the generous t-shirt award structure we had before (every
continent, zone and DXCC country)!
