Comments:

This was a portable operation using a helium supported 2 element phased array
and 400 watts from my mobile amp. We worked a few hours at the beginning
before determining that the antenna was indeed "pointed" west instead of east!
The giveaway was an early S9 signal from KH6ND compared to what we were hearing
from the east coast. A quick swap of the phasing solved that problem and we
were off and running. I was looking for AA1SU to complete WAS on Sunday but
never heard anything from VT. Like others in California, we heard some good
signals from Africa at sunset on Saturday.

Thanks for all the Q's
Dave, K0DI
