Comments:
Hadn't even planned on doing the contest since our family had
a prior obligation Saturday night. Friday morning both the kids
were sick, so I stayed home with them, only to catch it myself!
My wife made the executive decision to stay home Saturday night,
and I'd be able to at least operate the Sprint! I climbed the
tower to lengthen the 75M inverted vee in 25 degree and 30MPH
winds (next year seperate antennas) and felt like maybe I'd just
bag the contest since I felt even worse than before.
At 2300Z I decided to get off the couch and take a shower and felt
a little better. Just didn't have it in me for what it takes to do
well in this contest. The three short breaks to the bathroom didn't
help either :-(
At this point, even at my best, I think my top limit would be about
320-330 Q's. Can't comprehend what the guys above 350 are even doing!
Looking forward to September already!
