We were shocked to see the score top the HC8N world record at the end of the
contest... but no way it will survive log checking. Also beat the NA M/S
record that K6XX and I made last year from this QTH as 6Y8A. Some stiff
competition this year from V25, P49, and OD5.
Bands were very different from last year... 10m has been opening wide and
stong to EU and Asiatic Russia at EU sunrise (local midnight). But didnt make
use of this opening in contest, as our strategy was to stay on 40m as long as
it produced (it did).
80 m was nice on Saturday sunset into Eastern EU. Ran off a bunch of 80m QSOs
with (relatively) low summer QRN.
