First time after 11 years I wasn't with my friends in Ilmenau at DA0HQ.
Very interesting to participate from the other part of the world though.
Thanks to Tom W6KP for letting us use his superb station up in Anza.
Unfortunately, we were not spared by Murphy. 2 weeks prior to the contest he
had a break-in. A PC and some other neat things were stolen. Plus Dan N6MJ
didn't show up. We lacked his skills and experiences to set up the station
properly. So we ended up pretty much in a SO1R set up without any DX-cluster
support, neither PR nor Internet. However, Tom W6KP, Jan N6AW and Charlie
helped us to get the rigs running.
Condx were poor to modest. S9 static noise on the low bands all the time and no
serious opening to EU on 15 at 14-17z.

First time ever I entered the M/S category in this contest. Sure won't do it
again unless they change the 10 min rule. It really sucked not being allowed
working mults on other bands in parallel.
