Comments:

I managed to play for just over 7 hours in S&P mode. My goal was to hit between
20-30 Qs/hour which is all I could hope for being
a poor CW operator. I wound up at an average of around 28/hour.

Due to the heat, etc the bands here were in their typical lousy summer time
conditions from here. By the time I got on (around 2200) 20 seemed way
long, 15 was almost nonexistent and I never heard anyone on 10.

The noise level on 80 and 160 was nasty and on 40 it was a problem but my
best hours were on 160/80/40 with 0300 producing 34/15 and 0400 31/16.

Using a "non standard" name of LAR (which what my mother calls me) in the
contest was an interesting experience. Some copied it on the first shot
with no problem. Others needed several repeats. I would never do this if I
was a serious competitor and I will not do it in the SSB version.

It is probably a good thing I am not a hot shot CW op. As it is between SSB
& RTTY there are some weekends when the YF hardly sees me. Add serious CW
to that and I'd be "alone again naturally."

I hope everyone had fun.
