Had been on since 10am with Port control working fine between Radio & Laptop
then 10mins before contest it went pear shaped so had to work without it :o(
Enjoyed the contest but had an early Start on Sunday to get back home from the
parents house so could only work Saturday.
- Thanks to all the stations that moved to work me on other bands.
By 1am QSO's had just about dried up completely so I called it a day there.
Really enjoyed seeing that the 5 hours I spent on Friday putting up the
antennas & running out radials paid off with the signal reports & ease at which
I could be heard in some of the pile-ups.
Had a really scary moment just looking up at the 80M vertical ( thanks dad ).
Never put a monster like that up before but it worked well.
Had a 2 min go at CQ when there was no-one to work ( I enjoy talking to myself
;-)
10M was disapointing & feel I should have done more with 15 as well
