Comments:

High power and larger antennas would have made a bigger difference than usual
this year, at least on 6. Lots of very marginal sporadic-E openings. I could
have had 4x the rate at times if more guys had been on CW, but too many just
insist on sticking with SSB, no matter how poor the opening.

Most frustrating exchange (during one of the few loud sporadic-E openings):

Him: (extra, extra long "CQ contest")
Me; November Four Golf November
Him: Golf November?
Me: November Four Golf November, Norway Four Germany Norway
Him: Roger! Golf November?
Me: November Four Golf November, Norway Four Germany Norway
Him: Roger! Golf November, go ahead.
Me: O.K., this is November Four Golf November, Echo Mike Seven Eight, Echo Mike
Seven Eight. Over.
Him: Roger! Thanks for EM seventeen. Good contact! CQ contest, CQ contest,
CQ contest . . . uh, wait, what was your call again, the November Golf
station?

I just hope there's some kind, patient contesting Elmer that lives near that
guy.

73,

Tim Totten, N4GN
