On contest weekend I was hosted by OH2PM, who made a serious entry in the
contest. About an hour before the contest we put up a G5RV for me to use with a
100w radio, so I was able to get in a few QSOs on bands he was not using. It
was most interesting to operate in a contest from Northern Europe, and it was
amazing how much one can do with a G5RV and 100w. I had a great time as a
visitor to the WRTC event; it was most exciting to meet contesters from 36
countries that showed for the event. We are more than grateful to the Finnish
hams who put on a great show for everyone!
