Comments:
The power supply for the second radio quit after about 10 minutes. Spent the
next half hour bashing it with my fist between QSOs, and remarkably, this
hi-tech fix eventually worked.
20 seemed extremely productive, so I didn't want to mess around with switching
antennas in my clumsy SO2R setup; result was that all 40 meter QSOs were made on
a dipole, sloping from 40 feet.
Some very interesting hollow-sounding signals.
I must have been standing behind the door when multipliers were handed out this
time...despite organizing the Azenmokers with ops from Arizona, New Mexico and
Oklahoma, I never worked Arizona.....despite chatting with W0ZZ on 20 meters
shortly before the event.
