Comments:
Just got on a little to check out the station on CW after the CQWW SSB last
weekend. I don't really like the SS all that much but there is so much tradition
involved with this contest that I feel a little guilty if I don't make at least
a few contacts. Decided it might be fun to try and work all 80 sections as I had
not done it in years. Turned out to be harder than I thought! Was very saddened
to learn during the SS that KL7Y had become a SK. I wondered why I had not heard
his strong signal on the bands. Dan was truely the "King of Zone 1".
