Great fun as always! Happy to provide VT to many needy folks. Pity me, too: VT
was my 71st section. I was starting to worry! I had a bad cold and cough, too,
so I apologize for some sloppy sending at times.
Conditions seemed very good, but some kind of noise problem suddenly appeared
early Sunday. It seemed to be worse on the higher bands, which alarmed me
because I still needed VE4, VY1 and KL7 at that point. Thankfully, the signals
popped up enough to pick some out. VY1JA was VERY loud here on 10! His new
antenna must be terrific! What would some of us do without him showing up?

Rigs here were the usual IC-746 and old Omni-A, with my trusty 80-meter half
wave and tuned feeders, plus a fixed 3-element wire beam west for 40. I hope to
have much better wires up next year.
Has anyone looked at the year of license you get from ops? You have to wonder
how we'll heven ave a c.w. contest when all of us OT's start to fade away.
