Comments:
Having to work weekends is getting to be a real drag! Knowing I would have only
a few hours, I deceided to see how my new 706MKIIG (+ 350hz filter) would hold
up under contest conditions. With a 130' dipole @ 50'as the only antenna, the
706 exceeded my expectations. Sure, there was some blow by on that tiny 350hz
filter, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Weak stations on 80 Sat. night
were easy to work even with a bunch of S9+ signals near by. BUT...I think I'll
return to the main radio for SS phone! 73, Bob
