Just an evening effort here in north CT. FT-990 to an AL-811 to 400 watts.
Antenna is an extended inverted L apex at 80' w/8 radials. Most of the
operation was search and pounce with maybe only 45 minutes of running. I missed
many of the western stations by not being there in the wee hours. I only spent
a short time in the window as I passed by. Sounds like a more serious effort
