Comments:

What a great contest. It's definitely more fun from the Caribbean than from
California! We rented La Villa Rose, owned by Bud, K4ISV, aka VP5V, on N.Caicos
Island in the Turks and Caicos. Bud has a fantastic beach location on the north
side of the island with nothing but beautiful ocean from 90 to 270 degrees. A
clear shot to Europe and all of the USA.

His station is exceptional:
2xFT1000MP
2xAlpha linears
Dunestar bandpass filters
Bencher SkyHawk 10 element triband yagi at about 45 feet
Cushcraft 2 element 40M yagi at about 55 feet
inverted Vees for 80M and 160M

We also laid a Force 12 C3 triband yagi directly on the roof at about 15 feet
and pointed it due north. It didn't load up too well but worked reasonably well
as a spotting antenna for the second radio. It helped us pick up about four
mults.

We brought our own notebook computers and ran Writelog with MMTTY using FSK.
Writelog was solid as a rock without a single glitch over the 24 hours of
operation.

We set a goal of #1 World M/S. Time will tell if we were successful. In any
event, we had a fabulous time working the pileups. RTTY ops are unquestionably
the most courteous contesters. We really appreciated all the snappy exchanges
and kind comments. Thanks guys for all those Q's - it was a quite a thrill.

We will have a website with photos in a few days. Check out:

See you all in WPX RTTY in February from NN6NN.
73,
Ron N6EE and Chet W6XK
