Small Father(UBK)/Son(WKS) M/S with one rig.

Rig: 756 pro, Collins 30L1
Ant: Cushcraft A3@35 ft, 70ft ladder line dipole @ 30ft (Johnson Killowat
Matchbox)
Writelog 10.40 (10.39 with the patch for ARRL contest module band change
counter)

Had fun using the A3 for the first time, worked better than the HQ1 we had up in
2000 when I operated here last. I don't like the Ham IV rotor control box,
takes my hands off the keyboard for too long while the beam moves. Glad the 40
meeter dipole still works, I accidentaly cut it with a pole cutter in october
and had to solder it back together and rehang it.

We beat my 2000 score by 200QSO's/200K. Only operated 21.5 hours starting
Saturday Night at about 7pm.

Murphy must have been stuck in the snow because we didn't have any equipment
problems all weeekend.

I missed all the alluminum I have had the privledge to use over the past 3
years: N3BNA, V26B, N2NT, N2NU

Needless to say, there is a big difference between having a 4 element 40 meter
beam at 140 feet (N2NU) and having a dipole at 30 feet but we still had fun and
it was neat having S9SS call in on 10 and 40 especialy since my dad hasn't been
able to break the pileups on 40 hihi.

Seemed like there weren't that many countries on the air this year and less DL's
than usual but lots of OK's everywhere.

See you all in ARRL SSB (I'll be operating with N2NT) Congrats to all the Fab
scores and great ops, especially PJ4G, TG0AA, PJ2T, 6Y0T, V26G, PJ7/ND5S and
ZF2NT...you all pulled me in on 5 bands in one call off the back of the beam and
sometimes barefoot without making me lose my run freq!

Special thanks to Mom (WA2KVV) and Dad (WA2UBK) who put up with me this weekend,
made me food, and took over when I wanted a break...now if I could just get them
to put up a tower and an antenna for 160...

73,
Zev N2WKS
