Comments:
I still hear the static crashes ringing in my ears. I havn't been on HF since
IARU 2002, so it was great to be back on again! I was lucky enough to use NO9Zs
station and use the SMC club call this weekend.
The conditions friday night were VERY good, but it was VERY noisy. Great
propagation to Europe friday night (between the 60 over static crashes).
Saturday night I didnt work ONE EU station, although i was told many were
calling me. Tough to hear weak people calling with the noise.
Lynn had a 800ft EU beverage up this year. So to the NE I had great ears.
Anywhere else I had to listen on the TX antenna (very noisy). Sorry to all of
those i couldnt hear.
Equipment:
FT-1000MP Mark V
NO9Z homebrew amp
100' shunt fed tower (with 20ft mast on top and many antennas for top loading)
800ft beverage to North East
Thanks for all the Q's and congrats to the WB9Z (K9NR) gang!
73,
Matt
