My eighth year as TQP mobile. This is my favorite contest. It sure beats being
cooped up in the shack during a contest. Worked all 18 hours, drove 900 plus
contest miles, worked the radio, saw a bunch of Texas, and enjoyed every minute.
I couldn't do it without Alan Pettigrew, KB5UJS. He logged using TR again this
year. He also puts up with my wayward driving while operating.
I worked mobile to mobile with 14 others including K5CWR, K5CX, K5P, K5YLS,
N0RQ, N4CD, N5ET, W5SB, AG5I, K5JDB, K5OS, K5NA, KD5MBZ, and W5LL. Never have I
heard so many other mobiles. It's GRAND to work all stations.
Sorry I couldn't hear all calling me. I have to figure out why I have an S5-7
noise level on 40 meters. Well better luck next year.
