Another fun tour through California. This year provided great conditions on 80
and 40 meters Saturday night and Sunday morning. I could hardly believe KG1E
calling me on 80 SSB and working DL6RAI on 40 meters. One of the best things
about mobile operation is getting to work everyone multiple times and handing
out the rare one. Of note this year are the 21(!) QSOs logged from WA3HAE
nearly that many from VE1RGB and N4PN who seemed to be everywhere as well. I
had several stations work me more than 10 times - thanks very much for all of
the "repeat business". I had hoped to hand out Glenn county to a lot more folks
but starting ~0637 Z doesn't cut it for satisfying the overall demand. So, it
may make sense to overnight there next year instead of Colusa. Just when I
decide to do that a major expedition will move in and no one will need Glenn
:).
