Comments:
Despite solar flares, some interstation interference, and generally rotten low
band condx, SS is really a fun contest from SW New Mexico ! During the daytime,
I can't imagine a better QTH in the continental USA for SS - it seems we had
propagation on 10 and 15 meters all day to every major population area. I was
very lucky to hear VY1JA doing S&P on 40 at sunrise - he answered my
strategically-placed CQ within 2 minutes. Thanks J !
Many thanks to Britt, NA5S for getting the station ready, and Britt and Joanna,
K5SLY for the great hospitality.
Rigs: TS-950SDX, FT1000MP-MarkV, Alpha 76PA, TenTec Titan II.
Antennas:
Force 12 C31XR @ 50', linear-loaded 40 dipole @ 45', 80 vertical...also S&P
antennas - Force 12 WARC band beam used on 15, 20 meter vertical.
73,
Steve, N2IC
