I f anything the CQWWCW separates the men from the boys !!
Having said that I wish I might find myself in the later category but alas
we can't go back hi !
Managed to stay reasonably alert for about 35 of the 48 considering some other
issues
I don't bore people with ...........that in itself seemed to be major feat hi
!
15 Meter monobander which I had intended to us as the mainstay in a single band
effort
suddenly developped an intermittent just before the contest...... ooh well
What was it Robbie Burns said about
the best laid plans etc ...
Conditions from Here were as good as I have ever heard them even during the
cycle peak , there might not have been
as much real long haul stuff but when you don't stop and look you never
really find out until the countries totals are posted.
Amplifier decided not to work on Sunday Morning so finished the remainder of
the contest with 100 watts from the 1000MP.
Congrats to Dave ex VE2ZP now VO1AU who did very well from his new
location........ now he knows what we all know over here,
too bad towers and aluminum have a bad habit of blowing down so his
conservative approach to antennas will probably stand him
very well over time hi!
Now it's back to antenna work and coax cables for me for another while until
winter decides to arrive , fortunately we seem to have a reprieve here
albiet temporarily or otherwise.
C'Y'ALL NEXT ONE GLWCDR es thanks for the Q's
