This was not going to be an entry, however, after seeing some of the results
from Don, VE3XD, without a 160m antenna, decided to try it out. Was surprised
to find that the rig would tune the antenna provided I kept the power REAL
low!
Thought I might be able to get some points for CCO. When finding that all those
ops with great ears could hear me, I had a lot of fun.
Thanks for all the patience with the nanowatts that must have radiated.
Heard but not worked NTX (N5NA), STX, WY (W7SE), NP4Z (huge pileup), PJ2T (no
pile up), FM5GU.
It just shows that if you can tune it, a piece of wet string will give you fun -
better than nothing....
