Comments:
Made about 20 SSB contacts looking for the club station (mothership). Had
several holiday events to attend so I couldn't be serious contender. Spent 90%
of contest calling CQ and working on improving my rate. Condition varied from OK
to horrible. Never very good at all. Heard one JA in two nights although logged
t30, ZL and only had a couple of EU call me (on strange paths) while hearing the
east coast work them. Sounds like favorable condx. for them this time. The west
coast sounded poor from here although there were a few strong CA and WA stations
periodically. Worked the entire contest with high SWR so output was limitted to
about 600W. Doesn't matter.. I couldn't hear many as it was. Best CW score for
me (because I worked at it). The rate would have been OK if it was a 160M
contest not 10M. See you in the STEW
