Comments:

I decided last year to go low power and try to break the world record.
The old record was 4.5 mil

I thought that it was odd that I was within 100 Qs of last year's high power
score throughout the whole contest.... most of the time I was ahead it, but
dropped behind in the 2200z hour Sunday... and wound up 75 Qs behind at the end
with the same mult total.

Had a great first 35 min.... then 20m just seemed to die at 0040z. Went to 40
earlier than I had hoped. Low bands were in FB shape... missed some easy mults
on the low bands... ND on 40 80 and 160, and a few others... but don't we always
miss stuff we shouldn't? Never heard VY1, VO2, VE8 or VY0 on any band. I
listened to some southern Caribbean guys running stations on 10m that I couldn't
hear.

120 Six Band Qs.... wow!

Only had 2 freq disputes.... one east coast multi on 40m and one well known
Caribbean single op on 160m. Both left their freqs for more than 30 seconds and
did not respond to my QRL?s... and then both come back on the freq and tell me
QRL.... after I had already put a couple Qs in the log?!?!? Not good... when
you move it... you lose it. Don't fight it, just deal with it and find yourself
another QRG.

Funny to bump into WI9WI on my flight back to Chicago Monday afternoon... he was
NP3/N9FJ... never knew he was there! That's the 2nd time in a row that I've
bumped into a contester on a flight... K3NA and his XYL were on the same Chicago
to Miami flight on Xmas day! Small world sometimes.

Congrats to D4B for a BIG score! Amazing 80 #s... I guess his G5RV works well
on that band ;-) Kudos to W4PA/K5ZD and N2NT for big scores... and to KH7X
also for his milestone! And congrats to all the other big scorers... VP5M,
FM5BH and P40Y.... and ZD8Z who I'm sure did very well too as always!

Thanks to WA3FET, NP4A, KE3Q, KP4TG for all their help.... and of course Angel
WP3R and his lovely wife Eva! Everything worked flawlessly... no problems at
all! You guys are the best!!!!!

Here are some of the CBS stats (Thanks K5KA! FS®)
