Wow, what a pain that was. I echo W1EQ's comment that low power SSB contesting
is VERY slow compared to low power CW.
I was SOAB Unassisted until 00:00z Sunday operating nearly all of the first 24
hours. After posting an 8/hour while I was REALLY TRYING HARD, I took my first
trip into the Land of Assistance for the sake of YCCC and kept my butt in the
chair as long as I could.
Unfortunately, three consecutive contesting weekends and some long work hours
finally caught up with me and I had to call it quits at EU sunrise Sunday
morning for a while. I was then off-and-on on Sunday during the day.
I know this is beating a very old drum, but I was shocked at the lack of quality
in the spots.
