Comments:
I once more opted for a chance to sleep and went single-band rather than all
band. Almost all S & P except for a couple of successful runs on Sunday: in
the morning to Europe and right at the end of the contest to Asia. In the
morning I had a frequency in which I guess I could be heard OK in Europe,
because several people called, but I had a difficult time copying because the
QRM was terrible. However, when I finally gave up on the frequency and went
looking for another one I never found anything better. The afternoon run was
fine except everyone was weak. It was interesting to compare signal strengths
with the power being used -- some 50 and even one 5 watt station were much
stronger than some 100 watt and higher stations (all in JA). Again
demonstrating the power of good antennas (or weird propagation?).
