Setup:
======
We used all of the DL6FBL fixed installation plus my 30m pneumatic Mobile Tower,
which held a Cushcraft XM515 (5-ele 15m) on top [@34m], and a Delta Loop for 80
meters [apex @32m]. On the other side of the street we had installed a 14m high
crank-up tower, which held a Cushcraft XM510 (5-ele 10m). A second K9AY had also
been installed, but somehow that didn't work. I guess that they simply overload,
when there are simultanous signals on 80 and 160 on the air, which is the case
in a M/M operation ;-) So all lowband receiving was done on the transmit
antennas. Sorry for our "little ears"...
160: Kenwood TS-850S + PA + Inverted-L on the aluminium rooftop
80: Kenwood TS-950S + PA + Delta Loop @ 32m
40: Yaesu FT-1000MP + PA + 2-ele Quad @ 24m
20: Yaesu FT-1000MP + PA + 3-ele Quad @ 24m + 3-ele Quad @ 18m
15: Kenwood TS-850S + PA + 5-ele Cushcraft XM515 @ 34m + 3-ele Quad @ 18m
10: Kenwood TS-850S + PA + 5-ele Cushcraft XM510 @ 14m
Dunestar 300 Monoband Band Pass Filters, on 10/15/20/40m cascaded with another
Dunestar 600 Band Pass Filter, and coax stubs at the amplifiers' outputs on
10/15/20/40/80m. Writelog v10.46 on seven Notebook computers (all Windows
2000/XP)
Story:
======
Nothing really broken, a Kenwood TS-950S went back to 10W output due to
overheat, because we had blocked the air slots ;-)
The rotator for the 15m Yagi stopped rotating Saturday afternoon. After we had
taken down the Mobile Tower again on Sunday morning, and checked cables, it
simply came back into service without further explanation...
Our 80m/40m daylight secret weapon, YL Steffi, DL8NSB, had much fun collecting
lots of 59001 reports from YL hunters ;-) At one time Steffi asked me to take
her seat for a minute while she was eating. On that same frequency she had
worked a constant flow of stations only a minute ago, I sat and called and
called and called, and got no answers for minutes. Then she took over again, and
her small pile-up came back... Guys, are we really so "focussed"? ;-)
Thanks to all who came here and helped to expand the station setup for the M/M
operation, and operated DA0BCC to a new German national record in the M/M class.
And, many thanks to all, who gave us a call in the contest.
73 Ben

BTW: The Bavarian Contest Club (BCC) is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The
special callsign DA0BCC is operated from various places all year long (Sept.2003
- Sept.2004). Already 35,000 QSOs are in the log. Work DA0BCC and BCC members
for the WABCC award: http://www.bavarian-contest-club.de -> WABCC

Have a look on the number of DL stations especially on 160/80/40m. That's
