Comments:
Looks like some pretty competitive scores this year. I expected 15 to be better
than it was. It opened (relatively speaking) later than normal Saturday
morning. On Sunday more of the same except that the eastern European stations
seemed to be louder than the guys further west. The volume was pretty lite too.
I kept thinking please stay open, I don?t want to go back to 20. The QRM there
at times was as bad as it gets. It?s fun to point one of the beams west and
catch everyone in the Midwest and west coast. I had hoped to load up on some 6
pointers at European sunrise Sunday but I guess we had some sort of T-storm to
the north as the static crashes made the lowbands almost unusable. I had plenty
of off time to burn so the decision what to do was an easy one.
I probably missed some good JA mults on 15. It seems like every time the
wind kicks up around my QTH the power line RFI in that direction kicks in. This
weekend was no exception with S7 noise most of the time. That?s just the way it
goes.
I was called by NU5DE (NATURIST AMATEUR RADIO CLUB). I couldn?t resist
asking ?hey what are you wearing?? I have some very good friends in this hobby
but the thought of sitting in a room doing multi-op, au natural with you guys
gives me the woolies.
