Comments:
Well, as is usually the case for me, my operating hours were limited to after
9pm Pacific, meaning that there was little DX about by the time I got on the
air. Still, got the rate meter up to 66 for a short period while calling CQ on
80. Mostly stateside stations, but still fun nevertheless.
Entering the contest at all prompted me to finally sort out my SBDVP setup, with
which I am now very pleased, and I used the contest to get some practice at
using DVP for all elements of the exchange, rather than just for calling CQ. On
that front it was a very successful and fruitful effort.
Spent quite a few hours assisting VE7FO with his newbie contester training
efforts - it went extremely well and we may have lit the contesting fire in a
few more shortly to be licensed hams.
CW SS next - I love this time of year!
