WORST sore throat and cold in many years =
BEST QRP Score in CQ WW SSB DX Contest!

Operating and Break times were dictated by energy level and degree of throat
discomfort. 'Chair Time' ranged from 2 to 4 hours with 1 to 3 hour naps for the
first 36 hours. Low Band calling was limited to stations who could pull me
through in just a few calls.

As reported by N8II (LP), 160M was useless (only 2 USA QSO's) and 80M only
produced a few close in QSO's and Multipliers.

Conditions (and my throat) seemed to improve on Sunday and I operated the last
12 hours with only one 20 minute break. Lots of Carib / CA / SA activity kept
things interesting followed by a great 10M opening to the Pacific at 2245Z
Sunday when WH0V, P29KPH, JA3YBK, VK4CZ,and KG6DX all provided 4 double
multipliers.

Tom N4KG / QRP in North Alabama

FT990 at 5 Watts Output
4 Monobanders plus 3 Tribanders on 40-10M
High Dipoles on 80 and 40M.
