Comments:

This one started out with the potential for a great score. I spent more time
CQ'ing than ever before...three straight hours of (answered) CQs on 80m, from
0100 to 0400, was quite a rush for an op with a 100w/trap vertical station. In
fact, I'd say the first 8 hours were the most fun I've had in SS for many
years.

But then there were the last 12 hours, post-flare, that left a quite a rotten
after-taste. I couldn't do better than a 25 hour after 1600z. What a drag.

Still, in the end, I'm satisfied with the score, just a few Qs shy of 700.

Missed KH6 and NWT.

P.S. Was it me...or did there seem to be a lot more Q class stations this year?
Luckily, I recently improved the audio filtering (LogiKit SCAF filter -- works
well for noise reduction on a non-DSP rig) and I think that helped quite a bit.
We'll know for sure after the UBN report comes out.
